La Fonda on the Plaza
An inn, or Fonda, was one of the first businesses established on the new plaza during the founding of SF. With the arrival of the SF Trail in 1821, the inn was the preferred lodging for trappers, settlers, travelers, and politicians.

The Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi
Santa Fe means “holy faith” and in 1610 the first church was built on this site and replaced by a larger one in 1630, which was then destroyed following the Pueblo Revolt of 1680. There are 20 bronze plaques on the church doors that depict the history of NM since 1539.

401 Old Santa Fe Trail
The Mission was built between 1610 and 1628, the Church was partially destroyed during the 1680 Revolt and rebuilt in 1710 with numerous restorations over the years. Inside beam dates 1710, altar screen and area show oldest portions and next door is the early St. Michael’s College.

215 E De Vargas St
The current dwelling rests on part of the foundation of an ancient Indian Pueblo dating from around 1200CE. Primarily early Spanish dwelling clearly shows the original architecture and outside walls show excellent examples of adobe, “Cities of Gold” story.

New Mexico State Capitol
Dedicated in 1966, built-in territorial style, the rotunda in the center features the Great Seal of State of NM and the Zia sun symbol. You will explore the art and handcrafts throughout are by NM artists, Michael Naranjo’s sculpture, and the Eternal Flame at Bataan Memorial.
